【あちこち域外探訪記】呉散策、レンガ風景・・・ #２

メインの「はりま」を離れ、あちこち域外を探訪します

今回は呉のレンガ風景です

昭和町煉瓦倉庫群

建物に近づいてみる・・・
３棟続きの南端より撮影

３棟続きの南２棟・・・
同じ意匠の建物が連続する

北端の棟と南隣の棟の繋がり部分・・・
１階の窓周囲の煉瓦組みは殆ど同じだが
２階の窓周囲の組み方は異なる
尤も、北棟にはサッシが嵌め込まれているが・・・

外壁の煉瓦の積み方は・・・
長尺段と短尺段が交互に重なるイギリス積み

倉庫入口が開いていたので中を覗いてみる・・・
煉瓦内壁に沿って張り巡らされた木組みによって
屋根部分が支えられているのが見て取れる
倉庫内部は想像以上に巨大な空間が広がっていた・・・
